I'm confused by what you mean? Most facilities are governed by ONA in ON, so the pay scales are predetermined according to years of experience and evenings or night differential. I've never heard of maternity pay.

The local conditions of the ONA collective agreement for Humber River:

11.07 (f) On confirmation by the Employment Insurance Commission of the appropriateness of the Hospital's Supplementary Unemployment Benefit (SUB) Plan, a nurse who is on pregnancy leave as provided under this Agreement who has applied for and is in receipt of Employment Insurance pregnancy benefits pursuant to Section 18 of the Employment Insurance Act shall be paid a supplemental employment benefit. That benefit will be equivalent to the difference between eighty-four percent (84%) of her regular weekly earnings and the sum of her Employment Insurance weekly benefits and any other earnings. Biweekly payment shall commence following completion of the two (2) week Employment Insurance waiting period, and receipt by the Hospital of the nurse's Employment Insurance cheque stub as proof that she is in receipt of Employment Insurance pregnancy benefits, and shall continue for a maximum period of fifteen (15) weeks. The nurse's regular weekly earnings shall be determined by multiplying her regular hourly rate on her last day worked prior to commencement of the leave times her normal weekly hours. The normal weekly hours for a part-time employee shall be calculated using the same time period used for calculation of the Employment Insurance benefit (currently 26 weeks).

So that means Humber does have a top-up for part-timers. (You do know that you could ask this kind of question of anybody in your ONA local office, right? They'll know what the local conditions are. The phone number for the office should be readily available to all members.)
