Hi I had a question for anyone that know anything about home health. I recently had my car stolen so I had to buy another and know I have to work during my nursing program in order to pay for it. I was not planning on working during my program to maximize success but now I have no choice because some evil person decided to steal my car, anyway, My friends mom owns a home health so I will be working there..... My Question is will I get the hours I need. I only want to work before I have class on Tues. Wed. Thurs. like from 8:30 to 12:30 and then my classes start at 1:00. So does homehealth actually allow you to only work like 4 hours a day? Can you really pick your schedule?

I worked in home health as an aid and I worked 3 days a week from 9 to 1:00 or 2:00. I think this would be a good fit for you. HTH

I think it depends on your agency. We all have to work full days except if a parttimer is working extra on days off they may only work part of the day.

Yes. I don't think you'll have any problems. When I did HH I was full-time and the majority of my visits were between 8:30-12:30. Don't forget you'll have to make time after school for charting as well as your usual homework and studying.
I'm sorry about your car. People who can't keep their hands off other people stuff make me so angry. :angryfire
Good Luck.

Yes, this makes me so angry:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire that a person can just go around stealing cars and get away with it. But all I can do is be a better person myself and build myself as a person and not let bad people put me down. What do you mean when you say charting? Is this somthing for home health? I will be in the nursing program this Aug. and I will be a CNA while Im in the program. Do CNA's havt to do charting?
Oh, and congrats on your grandbaby to come, what an exciting time for you all!!!!!!!

CNA's chart VS, baths, diet %'s, etc....
I thought you were an LPN going for your RN. My mistake, sorry. You'll still have to chart in HH but it won't be a big deal.
