  1. I went to a community college and I took A&P with nursing students. My MA a 2 year associates program didn't require Micro. All my credits (A&P,english, speech, bio's psych. soc.) transferred to another school for nursing (started Aug. 20). Also we were taught that we were not nurses and not to call ourselves nurses:nono:. All the colleges in my area have articulation (transfer) agreements with other nearby schools, you can ask for a copy from the school you want to attend.
  2. I got the E2 a few months ago. You do have to charge before setup. When you put the CD in it should automatically come up and walk you through. Guess what my CD was blank! I had to call (got the number off the website) and wait 5 days for them to send me a new CD. :angryfire carilyn
  3. I worked in home health as an aid and I worked 3 days a week from 9 to 1:00 or 2:00. I think this would be a good fit for you. HTH carilyn
  4. There is an ad in my local paper for PCT positions outpatient clinic. My question is: I am a Certified Medical Assistant entering an ADN program in Aug. very interested in this field. Would they hire someone who wouldn't be available for regular hours. I only have one day off of school during the week. My schedule for fall semester is pretty crappy because the school made it for me. I will have a better schedule for the winter semester. Do they have to work full time
  5. When I entered college, 20 years out of high school (only took general math there) I took the compass test and placed into pre-algebra. I had to take pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2 got A's in all three classes. Then decided to go the the University and had to take the compass again well I placed into algebra 2. On the first day of class the teacher gave a test to see what we knew. He recommended that I go back and take Algebra 1 again but I promised him I would get an A and I did. Since then I have taken 3 college math classes and received 2 A's and 1 B. Believe me you can do well in math just use the instructor's study guide and do the problems over and over till you get it and utilize other resources like tutoring or video tapes from your schools library. As for the NLN I just took it in June. I thought the math was pretty easy but there were 50 problems and only 1 hour to complete. I completed 40 problems and thought I got about 38 right .......wrong I scored really low on math but I passed cause I scored really high on the verbal section. Good Luck!
  6. We have 80 starting. How many students in your class started and how many graduated?
  7. try Medical Spanish Made Incredibly Easy at amazon or barnes & noble HTH carrie
  8. My instructor recommended the book A&P made incredibly easy. I have to do a self-study and take a test because it has been more than 3 years since I took A&P. You can order online at amazon or barnes & noble.
  9. There is a job posting in my local newspaper for a LTC they are hiring nurses aids part time and full time. They are not asking for STNA or CNA. I am a Certified Medical Assistant who will be attending nursing school in the fall. Would it be appropriate for me to apply to this position. I think this would be good training to help with nursing school. Ads for other facilities say STNA. Will they hire someone who is not CNA or STNA. Thanks carilyn
