I have a BS in Criminal Justice and am interested in trying to go directly for an MSN. I am currently taking Anatomy and Chemistry, and should have General Psychiatry, Physiology, and Microbiology done by the end of the Fall 2010 semester. Are there MSN programs I can go directly into, I do not want to just get an AS, and would prefer not to just get another BS, as I already have one?
Thanks

Programs like this exist. I know of two in the Chicago area: Rush and Depaul.
Here is the link to Rush's:
Rush > A. Nursing Master's for Non-Nurses
Here is Depaul's:
DePaul University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences: Master of Science Degree Programs
I bet there are more programs out there like these but these are the only programs I'm familiar with.
Good luck!

You might want to check out the graduate student forum on AN for more information:

Here is an excellent blog by one of the nurse educators here on AN that might help you as well:

Hope this helps!
Thanks, I'll check that out.

I'm in one now. There's something called a Direct Entry MSN (often its the Clinical Nurse Leader-- CNL) track that takes people with degrees from other disciplines.
I'm at the University of Virginia, but I think there are a number of these programs around the nation.
