If you move to another state and switch your nursing license to work in that state are you still licensed in the original state you got your license in?

Yes. At one time, I was licensed in five states. As long as you maintain the state's requirements and renew your license, you can keep your license in any state.

And of course now, there are a lot more nursing compact states.
Maybe you live in one!

YEs if you renew it when it's due.

If you move from one Compact State to another, you must surrender the license from your previous residence. But this is no big deal, you can always get it back if you move back.
