I'm going to apply for the evening RN program in the spring of 2011. How long does the evening program usually take? Also, what is exactly the evening program? Does this mean the classes are held at night?
Most likely your clinicals would be 2:30pm to 11 pm to coordinate with the evening shift. I would suspect that would be at least once/week depending on your school. Then you would have some other time at night for conference/lecture.
Length depends on the program, part time/full time, and how many prereqs you already have. Call the school or go online to see if there is any info.
My school no longer does the night/weekend program but when they did, they had classes in the evenings and on weekends. Same with clinicals. It took 3 years as opposed to the usual 2 years for the RN program.
