Hello:

My friend Lisa is in that class... I'm just down the hall... I usually stop by there to wave to her. I'm sure you have seen me.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

Have you gone on-line yet to do the on-line tests?.... If not.. you really should.. they are so so helpful......... do you have a coloring book for the body.. ?? if not.. there is one on the CD that came with the book.... you should try to do as much as you can..

GOOD LUCK

Hi JoAnn

Maybe you can help with some questions...

Thank you for taking your time and ahve a good day.

Looking for Dutchess Boces information:

1.- How difficult is the entrance test? I bought a book for that test because I wanted to go to Westchester Community college... but I need more classes and I can't start until June 2009. I don't want to waste to much time.

2.- How much is the cost of the program? I believe is expensive because of the time. I'm pretty sur I have to ask for a student loan

3.- I know you are a full time student? DO you work part time or you study at home during the rest of the day?

4.- Are the books easy to follow? I usually read a chapter twice. I went to college already and I got good grades. But I still wondering about science classes.

I'm really good at math. I studied sys. ing. in my home country so it will help me a lot. But i don't remember anything about biology o chemestry.

I'm affraid to start something new, specially if I will get a student loan. I don't want to fail. I would like to become a Nurse in the future. I don't have to work if I go to school full time. My husband support me 100%. That makes me happy. But I'm still affraid because of the english language.

most people file for the student loan and or financial aid. the program costs $8200.00 plus about $350.00 for your books and then you need to buy your uniform and supplies and shoes.

3.- i know you are a full time student? do you work part time or you study at home during the rest of the day?

i only work one day a week so i can study and get good grades.

the books are not hard to follow at all. the teachers want you to pass and do everything they can to help you. the science is all anatomy & physiology.... so picking up a book at the local bookstore will always be to your advantage.

so im not sure where you language barrier is. what is your native language? and did you study in your country? there are a lot of students from all over at this school.. some people have some difficulty and some how they manage. i would not know what their technique is....... this school does not have chemistry.. they may touch on it just a little ... going for your rn, you will have more of those classes.... this school does not offer a diploma for the rn course.

i hope i have helped you out..

good luck in the future!!

Thank you very much JoAnnd.

I'm very concerned in my Spanish language as a native language.

I studied business administration in my home country.

I took ESL classes in a Connecticut college and also I have some another college classes. It wasn't so hard like a thought!!!

If I decide to do the LPN in Boces, I won't work. I will dedicate my full time to school. I really would like to get RN in the future.

Thank you again for your help and good luck in the school.

have a great day

De nada!... buenos noches mi amiga!

Knowing two languages will also get you a higher salary. I took siete (7) anos in mi escuela many years ago. I am also going to relearn the language. But if you do not use the language.. you lose it.... So I am hoping to learn it again and use if with my spanish speaking patients. I hope I can relearn the language quickly... I may also take classes at the college..

Felicidad y éxito a usted en el futuro

The program is very intense and quick. You have to read and study every single day. There is a quiz every single day and then a chapter test. Sometimes you have a test on 7 chapters at one time. You really need to take it serious and focus on your time there. It is over in 10 months and it goes very quickly.

You will only be able to work part time. I don't see anyone full time taking this course and passing it with a "B". and if someone did.. more power to them and they must be a brain!!

I maintained a solid "B", very close to an "A". I did not work.. and if I did work it was only 1 day a week.

So you must know there will be days that you will not do your laundry and not be able to cook dinner.

This program works as long as you are serious and what you put in is what you will get out of it.

GOOD LUCK

thank you i really needed that information.. i retake the math on november 18

hi:

no problem: some advise, make sure you are practicing the math problems every single day. you want to be able to look at each problem the test gives you and you'll be able to work the problem.

also: work the problem twice and make sure it is correct. most of the time people make silly errors and by checking it twice you can find your mistake

good luck to you!!!!!

thanks i hope i pass... hopefully its worth it and works out for me because im going to be a commuter from connecticut ...i requested to take the math over like 5x and never went because i was discouraged .ms.turqis was patient and nice to me the whole time.
