  1. Hi everyone... I took the Teas test on May 2009 for the sep program. The test was on Monday and I got the results on wednesday in the internet (teas web). By saturday in the morning I got the acceptance letter from Dutchess Boces. It took only 5 days to get the results. I already payed the admission fee. I have to do the CPR certification and get some shots. The test was long... around 4 hours. I didn't like the essay because after many hours sitting and reading the test, you would have to read a one page reading and from the info there write the essay. Good luck and see you on september in the full time program
  2. Hello CNA87. How the application to this program is doing? I finally decide to do the LPN program in september 09. I will apply at the begining of the year. How is the teas test and the essay part? I'm really good in science but English is not my stronger language. My first language is Spanish. I'm taking eng 102 at a college but it's easy than taking eng 101 (a lot of essays). I have a lot of classes just if I decide to go with th RN program. Please can you tell me your experience so far? good luck
  3. THANK YOU very much for answering my questions. I'm going tomorrow to get information about everything. Let's see what they say about it. maybe I can take the test and start this september. Gook luck and please keep in touch... let me know how is everything at school. have a good day
  4. Thank you very much JoAnnd. I'm very concerned in my Spanish language as a native language. I studied business administration in my home country. I took ESL classes in a Connecticut college and also I have some another college classes. It wasn't so hard like a thought!!! If I decide to do the LPN in Boces, I won't work. I will dedicate my full time to school. I really would like to get RN in the future. Thank you again for your help and good luck in the school. have a great day
  5. hey people... don't forget to post information about dutchess boces. i'm interested to hear about you experience there. also anybody here did lpn (from boces) to rn (in another school, maybe dutchess community college. how did you do it??? thanks!!!
  6. Hi JoAnn Maybe you can help with some questions... Thank you for taking your time and ahve a good day. Looking for Dutchess Boces information: 1.- How difficult is the entrance test? I bought a book for that test because I wanted to go to Westchester Community college... but I need more classes and I can't start until June 2009. I don't want to waste to much time. 2.- How much is the cost of the program? I believe is expensive because of the time. I'm pretty sur I have to ask for a student loan 3.- I know you are a full time student? DO you work part time or you study at home during the rest of the day? 4.- Are the books easy to follow? I usually read a chapter twice. I went to college already and I got good grades. But I still wondering about science classes. I'm really good at math. I studied sys. ing. in my home country so it will help me a lot. But i don't remember anything about biology o chemestry. I'm affraid to start something new, specially if I will get a student loan. I don't want to fail. I would like to become a Nurse in the future. I don't have to work if I go to school full time. My husband support me 100%. That makes me happy. But I'm still affraid because of the english language.

  9. Hi.. I'm new in the forum. I'm thinking to start a career in LPN. I live in Dutchess and I have the option to go to Boces. Does anybody here go to Boces for LPN full time? I didn't get any information yet and I want to visit this school. Somebody can help me please. Do you know how are the classes? How hard are they? Did somebody take the reading test? I'm not American and my first language is Spanish. I would like to take advantage of my second language. I will appreciate any information about it. Thank you very much!!!!
