Hi! I apologize if I have put this question in the wrong forum. I am not a nurse, nor am I going to school to be one -but I have a question & I figured this would be the best place to ask.
I need to give my pet mouse antibiotics. the prescription bottle says: 0.3milliliters two times a day. I have a tuberculin syringe that is in "cc". am I to give her .30cc's (that is how it's marked) - is .30cc the same as 0.3ml ?
I feel like a real idiot because I can't figure it out & I have asked people & I get different answers - some say it's the same, some say no, one said that a milliliter = 100 cc's. Now I'm really confused & the vet is away until the 26th.
PLEASE can someone here help me? are cc's and ml's the same?
Thanks in advance!
Laureli
Hey! Get those cats outta my mousie thread!
(just kidding!)
I actually own a kitty too (named Squeak) along with my 5 mice and my Jack Russell.
UPDATE ON MOTTZA-MOUSE: After giving her the meds she has stopped "chirping" - that's a GOOD sign! I just need to continue them for the remainder of the 10 days. Hopefully it won't return afterwards!
Thanks again!

Laureli, we used to have mice when my kids were in their early teens. They wanted rats, but I couldn't deal with that. Unfortunately, we acquired a male and a female.....realized that when one got really fat, and produced nine babies.
We also had cats, one of them liked to observe the mice running along the habitrail tubes. He managed to free one, but couldn't find it anywhere as it was hiding between the cat's collar and his neck. Josh wasn't a very smart cat, he knew it was out, could smell it, but didn't know where it was!
Your little mouse is cute, too!
