Hi. Is anyone familiar with a situation where the Californa Board of Nursing approves someone from your graduating class with the same exact coursework as you but ends up declining you due to some course deficiencies? I am sort of in this situation and want some advice. How can I fight back against the CA BON?

I suppose you could ask them to reevaluate if you believe there may have been an error ...but if you're truly deficient, there's nothing to fight. You're going to have to make up the deficiencies.

I am not sure how that would happen if it was the exact same coursework. Have you called/asked them. Maybe it was a pre-req. I would start by finding out what the problem is and go from there.
Yes they said I am deficient for clinical hours in Obstetrics and Pediatrics. I did contact my school to get more information to send to the CA board. Does anyone know if Community Clinical counts toward clinical hour requirements for the CA board?
I don't know what you mean by Community Clinical, did you do that outside of school somehow. What did your school say when you contacted them. Did the board say how you can make up the deficiency?
In other words. I am a Canadian RN graduate. I wrote the NCLEX and have applied to the CA BON. A fellow classmate did the exact same degree as me and is registered with the CA BON. I received a letter indicating I was deficient in clinical hours for peds/obstetrics. I took 80 hours of clinical in each of them. My class mate has the exact same amount of hours in them as me and was accepted and licensed by the CA BON. How do I appeal this decisions

Have you tried talking to the BRN and explain that a colleague did the same course with same hours on transcripts and met requirements and you are wondering how yours is different the theirs
yes but my licensing analyst said due to confidentiality he can not look at her file.
