Question about ASN pay for LTC and LTACH

U.S.A. Indiana

Someone told me ASN get paid $34 an hour in Nursing homes. I told them no way! Is this true? I thought it was like $19 an hour or something.

I worked in one as an aide, and can die happy never working in a hospital again. My favorite saying about it is, "Been there, done that, burned the t-shirt!"

The only way for me is Peds other than that LTC or clinic setting for me.

Depends on the area of the state. Where I am starts lower but cost of living lower than the big city and larger towns. My ltc pays better than hospitals locally with better benefits...
