Hi everyone,
My question relates to which is the most serious anticholinergic side effects (in taking antipsychotics) between urirnary retention or sedation.
My professor said urinary retention (which I can agree - risk of infection).
But I think it's sedation because of what goes along with it ie. cns depression, bradycardia, depressed breathing.
Any thoughts?
I appreciate the help :) thanks!

That's interesting. So, then, for the question the OP asked about, could a student essentially discard "sedation" as a distractor (unlikely, or at least not the most correct answer), because, to a nurse (What does a nurse do?), "sedation" (medically induced coma) isn't very likely to occur with proper administration?
I came from engineering and technology, and when I was a nursing student, I had a huge, huge problem trying to remap my brain to nurse-think. I as always very good at school, so I'm still trying to figure out how I could have done better in nursing. I often thought that some of the questions required more advanced training or some nuance of meaning or practical experience that our instructors and books hadn't given us, yet.
