If you feel that a quarter system is too fast-paced for you, switch to a semester-system school, no shame in it. It is important that you understand the topics of these prerequisites, especially A&P. Problem is, if you already started the 3-part A&P course sequence you would probably have to retake some of it as A&P I if you switch now. It might be worth trying to stick with it through this quarter since your first exam went well. If you can handle A&P well at this pace then maybe it is just this particular teacher. If you struggle with A&P as well, it might be worth taking it over at a semester-system school. Personally, I took classes in 3 systems (semester, quarter, and 8-week sessions). Some of my sciences were in quarters. I don't mind the pace but I needed to invest a lot of time and effort into those classes to get my grades.
Personally I love the quarter system. I was able to complete 9 of my pre reqs in a year without struggling with any of the classes. I think with the semester system it's about 3 and a half months long verses 11 week quarter; it just seems like everyone has their own preference so go with what suits you best.

hello,
As of right now i go to a quarter school system and i feel the school system is hurting me. Maybe i am just complaining but my psychology teacher-developmental life span (yes i know it is psychology) is really making me want to switch to another school. The way she teaches is very fast and i have a C in her class as of right now. Quarter is very fast pace quick. does anyone like semester or quarter school? or in reality it shouldn't really matter because either way nursing is not easy. i am currently taking bio anatomy and physiology part A, 3 quarters is the whole series. I am passing and got a A on my first midterm. stay or leave? or just man up because we all experience one bad teacher.
thank you and i wish the best of luck to everyone on their nursing goals!
