just for clarification, how do you write this... "take every 3 days" on the mar?

i know that qid is 4 times a day and qod is every other day.. is "take every 3 days" written as "q3days"? or "q 3 days?"

I write Q 72 Hours, usually only use it with Fentanyl patches.

you should follow your facility protocol. healthcare organizations are moving away from the use of many abbreviations, due to concerns for patient safety. there are many that jcaho lists as "do not use." i would simply write it out in its entirety, "...every three days."
