So the Princess has infections in both eye with plugged bi-lateral tear ducts, A fungal infection between her toes on her left rear foot. Vet told me it was going to cost around $300.00 for an IV atb treatment, oral atbs and ointments for her eyes and toes.
I called the husband who stated "We either pay it or put her down! I said I thought putting her down seemed extreme in light of the fact that she was still eating, attempting to play and pushing her "Fur sister" around. So we went ahead and treated her. My son said that if we were going to kill his dog over $300.00. He would get a job and come up the money to pay it himself.

Take your son up on the job offer as my crystal ball sees more Vet expenses ahead --turn him into Vet assistant too.

My son does take pretty good care of the dogs and he's kind of like a junior Nurse. When I had my big wound, tummy tuck dehissed from hip to hip. He helped me with the packing and cleaning without a hitch.
We have two dogs The princess is an older Gilden Retriever and the other I think is a spanial/corgi mix. She came to us a foster care dog and we fell in love with her and could not let her go. It's taken a year to convince her that we are not going kill and eat her but she is more trusting now and has tons of energy. I am thinking of training her to do either Rally or Agility.
