Puerto Rico school feedback?

Anyone out there have info on the school in Arecibo, PR? It is a 24 month program that begins in August.

I'd love to hear anything, thanks.

I'm graduating in May from undergrad and am considering flying out afterward to look at neighborhoods and secure housing as well. I haven't gotten a decision yet, but don't doubt that I will soon. Does anyone have any neighborhood recommendations? From what I've been looking at online, Miramar, Isla Verde and Condado seem to be what I'm looking for.

Isla Verde is traffic hell! condodo is only 7 miles away but you would still nee a car. not sure about the other place

LMAO!! I am so frustrated that the only thing I can do is laugh. I so feel you. The director you are speaking of told me the exact same thing. I have been waiting to hear from her for almost a year now. LOL. Just yesterday I received 8 letters asking for my transcripts. i just reapplied to the school. The first time I applied I never heard from them. This time I applied twice in the same day and received an email saying they actually received my apps and a few days later 8 copies of the same letter came in the mail. LOL...

Sounds like our stories are very similar. What is up with the magic number of 8 letters for both of us?!?! I received 6 letters one day and then 2 weeks later I received 2 more letters. I applied by snail mail and once online. That does not explain 8 letters.

I refuse to give up because everyone who goes there seems to like it, the price is great, and the wait list in California are ridiculous. So if I have to go there to get things done then so be it.

Yep I am from CA (San Francisco) as well and I think Oakley is from LA. There are probably many more lurkers and posters from CA. San Francisco State has 1,500 applicants for 80 slots. Yep, no way I would make the grade there.

I used this site before. Everyone on this site is usually the owner of the the property and does vacation rentals for days to weeks to months. I am sure if you tell them your situation they may rent to you at a lower rate for a month to month or yearly lease. its worth trying. just out of curiosity how much do houses go for in that area?

Not all that long but I have been contacting the school since May 23, 2009. So that is 11 months of frustration just trying to figure out things like will they take all my previous undergrad course work.

Just insane things like some woman telling me to fax her my transcripts and she would evaluate them to let me know what additional classes I needed if any. She said fax them and then call me in a week. Well I did and after a week she told me I was crazy and she never said that. I really think that 75% of the administration staff is bi-polar.

It was not until Feb that I applied and sent my transcripts, SS card and what ever else they asked certified return receipt.

I am just sick of dealing with their incompetence. OK I am stopping. I am not going to go off on another story because there are plenty of them here for your reading entertainment.

How can you. They are sooooo different. They are not competitors at ALL. It is funny how only people from LA say things like that. People from San Francisico never say that kind of stuff.
