PUC- LVN to RN

Published

Hi! I wanted to see if anyone has received their acceptance letters as of yet? Has anyone heard about the program? I'm still very anxiously waiting to see if I get accepted. Maybe we can keep in touch!

Do you mean Pacific Union College in California? I know that they start next month. I know someone who is staring the BSN portion and has completed the associates degree in nursing this past June.

No. I was talking about the bridge program that they only hold at Napa. I know there's one that starts in october. But I'll be starting in the one that starts next year. I just met their gpa requirement.

Congratulations!

Hi! I applied to the LVN/Med tech-RN program there at Pacific Union College. Last email I received from --------------------- was in mid February and it said I had completed all the necessary requirements for application and, “The Admissions Committee will start admission considerations shortly after the April 15 application deadline each year. Notification of acceptance or non-acceptance will occur by the first of July, 2020.“ However, I’m seeing some talk in another forum about decisions being send out by late July. I’m really hoping this isn’t the case and we can find out soon. Please let me know whatever you find out! ?

@Allnurses456Hi! CONGRATS on applying!! What’s your GPA, & TEAS score? I hope we all get into the program!!

I currently have a 3.31 for the prerequisites and 76% on TEAS and ACT score of 29. What about you?
I also took the ATI LPN comprehensive exam last year (and passed) but I didn’t get into the program. My GPA at that time was 3.11 and I was still finishing Microbiology at the time decisions were being made. So I retook a class to increase my GPA.
I am currently accepted elsewhere but I’m still holding my breath for this program because ironically it would save me money (since I only have 27 months left on my GI bill.) Problem is, my other program starts in August so I really need to find out soon if I made it into this one so I can make a choice and start making notifications. It’s cutting it really close.

Hi! @Allnurses456. I currently have a 3.33 GPA and I scored 67 on the TEAS with a 21 on my act. I was having problems with their computer when I took the test last year. I also applied last year but my GPA was only 3.2 so I didn’t make it in. I also retook a class to raise my GPA, so I’m hoping it’s good enough for me to get in. Good luck to both of us!! Hope we will be in class together!

@Allnurses456 The email that I received from ----------------------- states: "Notification of acceptance or non-acceptance will occur by the middle of July," So I am hoping that we will hear something soon! The anxiety of waiting!!

Oh yeah, pretty similar situations! I hope we can both make it too!! A lot of people I spoke to in my prerequisite classes had really high GPA’s so it’s definitely competitive out there. But I think we’ve definitely got a shot here! Best of luck to you!

@allnurses456 - Let me know if you hear something from them & I’ll let you know also. Thanks!!
