Providence TIPS April 2021

Hello! 

This will be the thread for all those applying to Providence SOCAL April 2021! 

I submitted my application today. This is my second time applying. I applied for the September (didn't have my RN lic at the time) cohort but didn't get selected for an in person interview. Last time I was requested to do a video interview. This time I received a self paced text only interview.

Thank you! Don't want to disclose the unit on this portal ? .. but I did talk to a friend who said there changing status on portal & making calls. ❤️ 

Additionally, on my portal I have RN I - with identifying unit at the top & then on the bottom it says TIP Program withdrawn submission, interview completed.

Were you able to find out what unit you were interviewing for prior to the interview? My portal doesn't say and the emails I was sent from HR don't say

I have my interview tomorrow for SMMC - Apple Valley ? and was wondering if anyone who has already interviewed (for any location) could help me narrow down what topics to review for the case study! So far I was thinking sepsis, ARDS, stroke, MI... any other suggestions or am I totally off the mark on what the case study looks like?

Hello, when I was in the interview I specifically emphasized a unit more than others when they asked what are your three choices. I have a feeling between your 3 choices they match with what they have open and that's what you get. I don't think you know prior. 

Another girl for example got Medsurg, not sure if that's what she emphasized or not. There were not many open positions, most had 2 max. I have several friends who work there and that's what she told me, process was pretty competitive.

I haven't heard since I interviewed with DSU. What unit did you interview with?

Offers were extended today and yesterday. Log on into your portal and see if there’s a new submission for a unit on there, if so expect an offer. If there’s no unit listed unfortunately you weren’t selected to move forward.
