Hey guys! I'm starting this thread for Providence's RN Residency Program - September 2024 Cohort. Hopefully we can update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!
Applications open up on July 3! Good luck to all of us (-:

I hope it went well LOL. There were 6 behavioral questions, 1 priority and 1 case study. There were a couple questions where I had to use my past job as an example instead of a clinical experience because I didn't run into those problems during clinical so I hope that's OK.

Mine went well too, I think! And yes, it appears it's the same interview for all Providence locations. I don't recall how many behavioral questions mine had, but I think it might've been 4; 1 case study that you had five mins to read through, and 1 prioritization question.
Did they ask any of these?
Why did you become a nurse?
Why do you want to work here?
Tell me about one time you had to show respect.
Tell me about one time you had to adapt to being culturally competent.
Tell me a time you showed compassionate care and went above and beyond for your patient

No, you are randomly placed with different managers from different departments.

I was asked:
why did you become a nurse?
the culturally competent one
how do I deal with a stressful situation
a time when a pt was not doing so good and how I handled it
how I handle like communication between team members

My panel consisted of 2 unit managers (neither were from my choices), a director, and educator.

I was asked why apply to TIPS/Residency; a time I dealt with a patient from a different culture & how I handled it; a time you went above & beyond; a safety issue at work and how I resolved it
