Providence New Grad 2025 Interviews

Published

Hello! Has anyone who applied to Providence when applications opened up on June 6th heard back yet regarding setting up an interview? I was told the process is different from last year. They said they would reach out for setting up interviews starting June 12th.

Did you interview with them if you don't mind me asking?

I didn't get an interview at QVMC only at Eureka. I heard we should know for eureka if we were selected by end of day today. I'm just inpatient and trying to figure it out LOL

Tell me about it! I only did QVMC since I live in town but I haven't gotten any updates I even emailed the recruiter but no response- I guess trying to get into a new grad program is competitive 🙃

Yes hopefully we get answers soon!🤞 My job is asking for my availability and I don't even know what to say since I'm left in the dark 🥲 I just want to know if I'll get a job offer or not

I emailed my recruiter and they said : basically I didn't show up on the list as an "alternate" so move on LOL - so I guess I feel "relieved" to know I don't have to wait by the phone anymore.

This question is for anyone who got the job offer .

what do you think really made you stand out as a candidate in order for you to get the job ?
was it the certs ? Because you knew someone on the floor ? I moved on and got another interview somewhere else .. I just want to make sure I am memorable. If anyone can chime in .

I heard back from QVMC and got a rejection email for anyone wondering about QVCM ED. My application changed to not retained but email said they would keep my candidate profile in the database. I knew this one would be a hard one as they had 4 spots only. Any tips for future interviews would be highly appreciated 🫶

anyone know about other new grad programs aside Kaiser cause they are super competitive I've tried several times already

I interviewed in Apple valley and got an offer.

Read the hospital mission statement and values and think about experience that allows you to use those words in your interview. Compassion is probably in there. If you can make your panel laugh or cry it's going well. Try to find a way to relate to your interviewers on a personal level. They are looking to see that you will fit in more than your skills, because you're a new grad.

They want you to be excited to work THERE specifically. Tell them all the reasons their specific hospital and unit is the one you want. Has the hospital made any press releases lately? Any new projects or goals? Apple valley is upgrading from level 4 trauma to level 3 and I mentioned how I can support that with my experience - it shows that I picked THAT hospital, not any hospital. You can also talk about how you know the patient population (are they low or high income/ very sick or elective procedures) and how do you meet that population demand.

Look on YouTuber for some mock RN interviews and think about how you would answer and consider feedback they give. Nursing Interview Coach is a good channel with valuable feedback in her videos.

So, I applied to 4 providence locations, and the only one I interviewed with (SJMC) is the only one marked "under consideration". Has anyone received a rejection letter from them or know when they are going to send out rejection letters? The 2 week mark was yesterday. The recruiter I am assigned to hasn't responded to my emails.

Just curious if the email came from the recruiter or providence?

Would this already relate to the structured behavioral based interview?

Yes, but I'm new to using this site and only have that 1 post. I think I saw something before that I need a certain number of posts to have DMs? If it works then yes. If not, IDK how many posts I need to do to get it.
