I read some of these posts and see that so many people are proud to be a nurse. Where I work no one really seems like it is anything special to be a nurse. It is just like any other job that puts food on the table. I think being a nurse is something special. I worked hard to become a nurse and I love it. Does anyone else have this issue? I think if you have pride it makes your job more enjoyable.

I am proud as heck to be a nurse, I still can not beleive it. I think maybe it is a new nurse thing, kind of like the honeymoon phase. Gosh, ask us what we think about it in ten years, and maybe we will feel different. I am so proud of myself!! Rhonda

Nope it is not a newby thing, I have been around for a long time now and I am still Proud To Be A Nurse. My car has stickers on it, my tshirts say it on weekends and my sweaters say it in winter. It is who I am (as well as being a wife & mother, chuckle).

Proud to be a nurse! okay okay, proud to be a pre-pre-nursing student. I'm so excited about it that I can't concentrate on classes normally because I'm reading this website. But they start next week. Yay! Applying for Fall 2009. I think the reason everyone is so proud to be a nurse because you have to really be a caring person to do it. Not everyone can do that on a daily basis. For now, I guess I'll just be the girl thats proud to look longingly at the scrub store at my mall.

I'm very proud to be a nurse! I work to earn money and I'm not there strictly for the love of nursing.
But I'm very proud to say I am a nurse
