@Daisy2016, too kind of you! I'm not in Van but lived there a while, hated the rain. If we make it in, I hope the program keeps me busy enough to ignore the weather! Enjoy the
@future RN, any update on the inside about admission timing? I guess to calm all our nerves! But thank you, 550 sounds more reasonable and brings back some
Looking over the FAQ it seems to be the same, no additional info. I personally (and wishfully) am doubting its that many people but who knows!! I guess they do use that number as an average, but 900...
holy smokes @ mandi_jacqeline!!! Where did you hear this? I'm curious!!! Maybe most of those applicants have applied at other schools too and just threw darts at the board for this
@tdmah and @mdana93, the admission blog said (in mid march) that they would receive CASPer results at the end of March. So hopefully they are tallying everything up right now!!! Then maybe as...
@Daisy2016 and @mdana93! I agree!! There are enough jobs for us all. Plus, once you are in the program, they don't ween people out like a regular 4 year program. Once you're in you can make it through...
A little jealous of you guys who are travelling or who have lots of time! Us students will have to make the most of the summer, especially if we make the program! I hear it is very front loaded,...
@mdana93, one month will seem longer than the last three! And the stress level will be higher, unfortunately! Still praying the emails will start coming through just before
I will agree, being in school right now is helping! Hard to focus on upcoming finals when you know UBC will be sending out acceptance/rejection letters soon! Not sure if it's too early to start...
I'm a little jealous that other schools update students online application when their CASPer is received! I know the FAQ fro UBC says we will know by end of April, but I'm hopeful that @future.RN. is...
do you know what schools? I guess it depends on how their supplementals were marked and such. Maybe we will all receive replies sooner than end of April? Anyone else getting more

@mdana93, I have spoken to a few nurses who are in the program now as well as former students. (Un)furtunately, depends how you look at it, there is no specific characteristic or way the successful...
@mdana93, I double checked, this is what they have under the FAQ. I guess they did not say how much everything is worth but my guess is start checking mid-April and we will know by the end of it !!!...
@bcastle is right, they will send things out by email before they update SSC! @ wonkknow, that was my comment at the end of CASPer, to have an oral section since I also resolve issues orally. My...
From everyone I have spoken to at UBC Okanagan they only accept into 1st of the 4 year program. Looking at their curriculum there would be lots missing from two year of "skipped" nursing classes....
This is the only one I applied to, so I really hope it works out! Really glad! I reviewed too many ethical dilemmas which did not really help... Now the wait begins for us
Lets say I felt like I was floating and fingers were tingling the whole time. Not sure how much the preparation helped out.. Fingers crossed! How about
I know where you are coming from! It is hard to prepare since it is on the spot problem solving and basic ethical dilemmas along with classic interview style questions. The practice questions I did...
From what I have heard, the webcam is there for verification. Not sure about the observation part! Otherwise it is all written, there is no oral part to this "interview". This is from what I have read...
So from what I have read it says they may if they do not contact your references it does NOT mean you are not being considered. They don't contact everyone! So you might be in the clear. But as for...
Last year it was 40% GPA and 60% supplemental. This year they have to include CASPer for everyone probably. What you said makes sense! Do you know if anyone has emailed admissions to check how it...
