Off the top of my head: Bachelor's degree with 2.5 GPA 2.75 science pre-req GPA 70 TEAS score ...and then the typical application, letters of rec, essay, resume, background check, etc.

Congrats, leahhartshorn & Kev93! I have a few more weeks left before finishing my pre-reqs so I can't finish my application just yet. I'm nearly ready to go! I hope the July class doesn't fill up too fast!

If you need the TEAS score for your application and since you've completed pre-reqs, then take it so that you have enough time to retake it if needed prior to the application deadline. I think you have to wait 30 days before retaking the TEAS.

The schools I am applying to use your TEAS score as part of the criteria on whether they'll accept you, so I had to do it before applying. In my opinion, the science portion of the test mostly came from AP 2, so if you can, I'd suggest getting throug...

I'm a "seasoned" student and I do not get study guides, nor do I ever expect them. Receiving study guides definitely wasn't the norm for me when I was in college in the 90s, but it seems to be expected now. I hear from several students in my classes,...

I've always been an above average student, but science has NEVER been my strong suite. I'm back in school for nursing and I'm doing very well in my science pre-reqs, but I am studying a hell of a lot. Like, 3-5 hours every day. With my very first sci...

I'm applying for the July 2017 start. I know someone who graduated a few months ago. She was extremely pleased with her experience and education received, she passed the NCLEX on her first attempt, and she's now working as an RN in an Orlando hospita...
I would not give a 4 month resignation. I don't know what line of work you are currently in, but I've worked in the business field for 15+ years and most of the companies I have been with walk you out the moment you turn in a notice. Two weeks' notic...
Coming from someone who is still paying for her first undergraduate degree from 15 years ago while back in school for a career change, do not go the $80K route. FTR, my loan was nowhere near $80K. And yes, I'm still paying for it.

I took Gen Bio from Seminole State College. I had to buy the Campbell Biology custom edition for SSC. I'm assuming you are not planning to take Gen Bio 2? SSC said the custom edition is for students who only plan on taking Gen Bio 1. It is cheaper th...

I just completed AP1 and microbiology. I didn't find it to be difficult. I took General Biology over the summer and it was by far the hardest class I have ever taken in my life. I got in A in that class, and after going through that I felt like I cou...

1. If you don't need to work for money, then don't do it. Concentrate on school and having the best GPA you can. I've seen Seminole State's nursing application and nowhere on it does it ask if you worked during school. 2. I hope this link works. Her...
