About alannatoon

alannatoon has 5 years experience as a ASN and specializes in Med/Surg, SANE.

I've worked as a Patient Care Technician, ED Unit Secretary, Cardiac Monitor Technician and Student Nurse Extern over the years.  I finished my Bachelors degree in Sociology and most recently managed a community domestic violence program.  I finally went to nursing school and earned my ASN in 2019.  Due to COVID, I decided to stay close to home, and I have been working at my local hospital on the med/surg unit since graduation.  I just finished my Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner didactic and I will be completing clinical soon.

My next goal is to complete my BSN as quickly as possible.  I've been accepted to start WGU's RN to MSN in Education program to start at any time; however with my kids home for eLearning and my husband in school, I've waited to get started.  I am considering Psych NP, so my plans may change anyway!
