  1. I just graduated nursing school, I'm 28. I start an RN to BSN program in the fall, I will be 29 when I graduate. Over half the people in my ADN program were over 30.
  2. I'm a new grad nurse starting my first job as an RN next week. In nursing school they harped so much on the importance of joining a professional organization like ANA or something or the sort, in order to keep up with latest and best practice, etc. I started looking around and memberships are so expensive! A couple hundred dollars for a year? I'm wondering, as a new or seasoned nurse, are these memberships worth it? Should I wait to join a specialty organization? (I will be working on a Trauma-med/surg Tele Floor) As a recent college grad I am on a budget and want to spend my money wisely. Thanks!
  3. I'm not sure about the credit hours, but I received FELS both years I was at my community college with 13 credit hours per semester. The funds were disbursed at the same time all other financial aid was disbursed and they mail a check for any money that you have over. I received scholarships through my college and the money from that and the FELS always showed up at the same time on my college account.
