    Nurse Consulting (Self-Employed)

I still work two days a week as a nurse to keep health insurance. Yet I just learned about something that could work. I am not a lawyer or accountant. But ask an accountant about how to structure expenses in terms of it being payment to a family member who is classified as an employee. This employee must actually do work and have time sheets. The work can be something such as managaing your calender or picking up dry cleaning, personal assitant job description or such. You may wish to check with an HR person as well. But an Accountant who works with small businesses would be familiar with this.

Trying to get a new job with no good current references

Take time to care for your self. Think about having a job outside of nursing as well. Something super part time that you enjoy. Let me know if you want details about what has worked for me. Regarding using your manager as a reference, I'm unsure if that willl be a problem. Managers move too! Resumes ask for my past three facilities, yet since being a nurse I have only worked at two facilities, the manager of my first job is no where to be found, not a problem. I have a co- worker who I last worked with over 7 years ago, she has moved around in terms of jobs yet always asks to use me as a reference, she finds work. Keep us updated!

    How Freelance Writing Works

@tnbutterfly, BSN, RN I have a regular client! I was searching Indeed.com for my Niche, "HIPAA" ( turns out doing countless social media policies made me more familiar than I wanted to be with that law), there I saw a company that was offering a contract, interviewed and I am working with them as a Contractor. Since then someone else noticed my activity on LinkedIn, followed me on Twitter and sent me a request. I am working on a proposal for them as well. Many more proposals sent than actual clients yet I am having fun with the process!
