  1. HI I am an ADN nursing student. about to finish my second semester. I "got" to do my first catheter about 4 weeks ago. I can't imagine anything easier than a post op elderly woman who was so out of it she snored the whole time. BUt of course I was still so nervous I was shaking, and there was my instructor talking to me through her teeth and my fellow student with her pen light aimed right at "it". haha It was horrible yet really cool. Kal
  2. OH yes, I thought that long nails story sounded familiar. I am only a nursing student but I personally am not going to ever wear any artificial nails if there is even the slight possibility of harming a patient. I wouldn't think it would be worth it. THen again I have NEVER owned a pair. haha Kaliko
  3. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the minimum nursing requirement should be someone committed and dedicated to giving quality, competent, and holistic care. Building on that quality is what will make all nurses, any nurse a GREAT and faithful servant to her number one priority--NURSING!! Dove That was nice. Thanks for reminding me of why I am in nursing school and giving me HOPE of working with some people who may think exactly like you do. Kaliko
