I had an interesting career in IT, until I decided to be a hospice volunteer. I liked it so much that I decided I wanted to be a hospice nurse, so I put myself through nursing school and found my calling. Now, I am able to combine my love of computers and process with my passion for patient care. Fairly late in life, I can say I love my job!

    this has become an issue here. I had a patient who's husband purchased a pulse ox for his dying wife. As she lay clearly dying, mottled, unresponsive, gurgling, he and his daughter focused instead...
