This is probably not popular opinion, but I do agree with OP and Neural to a degree. I think health care moving towards the customer service model has hurt us in ways we can only begin to imagine....

It will vary by hospital. On our floor they are not able to do much unfortunately. They stock rooms, round on our pp mom's and get them supplies/drinks, watch babies for us and occasionally help us...
They are only looking out for themselves because they will have to work "short" now. I say who cares, you are going to be gone soon. As for your DON, ADON, etc...I think their holiday staffing issue...
