I am a 35-year-old mother of 3 who wanted to get into nursing 10 years ago. Unfortunately life just would not allow it at the time. I put the dream on the back burner but never forgot about it. For 7 years I applied to the hospital that I wanted to work at after nursing school who also happened to have the nursing college that is the one I have always wanted to go to. Thankfully I finally got in and hope to retire from here as a nurse. Now I am in the process of completing my pre-reqs again and will be applying summer 2016 for a January 2017 admittance. I am thankful for how it all worked out. I know I have developed a different insight, more maturity and a stronger desire to succeed than I had 10 years ago at 25. Even though it has been a crazy journey I am looking forward to the rest of the ride.
