  1. CUNY if it is free, You can pay an NP service for preceptors if you had to, which would run you less than any of the other programs. I take it, it is not an online program if you need to consider commute?
  2. I'm currently in taking advanced pharma at u mass Lowell, I really like them, but am looking for a PMHNP program. I can't speak for U mass Boston
  3. And the quality improvement class is listed twice
  4. That's what I thought but if you look at "requirements" it is listed under all the programs except for PMHNP. Mistake.
  5. Hello - I am about to apply to the Norwich program for PMHNP. I noticed there is no Advanced Health Assessment in the PMHNP track? unless I am missing something. Also does anyone else know a student is accepted into the program prior to Jan 2025 are they grandfathered into the current clinical hour requirement before it increases to 750 hours? Thanks,
  6. I am seriously looking into the MCPHS program for PMHNP. I am taking some basic course at Umass (3 p's) to get started and will hopefully transfer. I was wondering if anyone has experience with receiving scholarship from this school. or access to any of the gov funds to help students become providers due to the shortage? This school is pretty expensive, but I'm hoping to get a some aid, I heard students from some schools like Rivier get automatic 10k back after clinicals due to the shortage as an incentive. I was hoping this was true for more schools. LMK!
  7. Im looking to apply. let me know how you like it
  8. theres tons. go to the american psychiatric nurses website to see accredited programs
  9. MSU has a 100% pass rate for PMHNP, so i'd love to hear if this is a worthwhile program. Thanks,
  10. Hello - what are the "warnings" about MSU? I was looking at the school. Thanks,
  11. I am seriously looking into this program. Has anyone started? Is the cost as low as it looks? I would do the precepting in my own state.
  12. if you have time review some concept in biochem - utilize the biochem "dump" in facebook that tells you important concepts to know. theres tons of online sample exams for the subjects as well. i actually studied the couple months before and was able to pass biochem exam in 2 weeks.
  13. Think of the positive role model you will be for your kids... and by the time they get to college you will be a better provider to help them if you develop yourself.
  14. how was your experience at fitchburg slizendiceRN? I am seriously considering. thanks!
  15. I just finished my last BSN class. I highly recommend if you have a prior degree. The 3.0 kills your grade point if you have a lot of classes, but its a great way to to get an accredited BSN in a self-paced affordable manner.
  16. I got an ADN, was able to get a job within a month, did a BSN completion at WGU for 3500 within the first year, and now looking at MSN in Chronic Care Management. Theres so many pathways, if youre in an area that needs nurses and don't want to rack up debt do the ADN (assuming it at a Community College). I dont know how old you are but if you are younger you might be in a better position to take on more debt. I wasnt.
  17. i found a Chronic Care Mgmt MSN at Georgia Southern that looked good - inexpensive
  18. look at the chronic care msn at georgia southern. its 12k i believe, and 30 credits
  19. Boston College has forensic nursing courses - both bachelor and masters levels. Fitchburg State in Mass also has an MS in Forensic nursing program
  20. hi "featherzRN, MSN", were you already working in informatics in your facility or did you just choose this specialty hoping to find work in the area? thx!
  21. Has anyone heard of US University in San Diego? They have a very affordable NP program. Just wondering if its reputable. Or if jobs even care where you get your degree from. Thanks!
  22. doesn anyone know if the MSN or DNP tuition is any cheaper for online? looks like the out of state tuition is much higher than in state
  23. See the facebook page for students doing this program. I'm hoping to start in the next couple months
