After high school I was a Medical Assistant. I did that for almost 6!years. It sounds funny because that was 20+ years ago. Now Medical Assistants are seen everywhere, this is good:). I then was a nanny for many years, actually until I decided to become a nurse. I became a CNA then and worked on a Critical Care unit. That was the best experience I could have gotten. I was in school and working. I was offered a job while doing my clinicals on the hospitals Neuroscience unit. When I passed my test I just transferred up to the neurology unit:). It was great! I Sam still currently employed on the same unit, and I love it:).
I agree that quitting is not the answer. It is frustrating. The one thing to always remember effective communication and teamwork is essential for the delivery of high quality, safe patient care....
