  1. I lived in AZ for four years. I remember the drive from that area to VA...I drove cross country with 3 cats. It was pretty crazy, but the scenery was nice! Goodluck with your drive :) One more question: when you sign into BB now can you see your courses listed under "courses"? I'm not seeing mine and am wondering if I completed the registration for my courses correctly. Sorry to bug you with all these questions (like you aren't busy enough!!). I feel like I'm missing some piece at the end. I add the classes I want but I don't see a submit button to like "add" them add them. Oy.
  2. Oh wow, Scottryana, that's a long drive! Where are you coming from? PS: I have a quick question. When you tried to sign up for the NURS 261 did it block you from signing up because it said you hadn't fulfilled prerequisites?
  3. CONGRATULATIONS Scotryana!!! See you at orientation!
  4. Thank you !!!!
  5. I just found out I got accepted to VCU! Thought I'd share with everyone on here since I've been asking a million questions about being on the wait list. Best of luck to the rest of you still on the wait list!
  6. Haha, you're too funny.
  7. Okay, thanks! I was just basing mine off of someone on here who was #12 inititially and then was #6. So, I did the math myself and discovered I would at least be #6 since he was accepted. At the very beggining, before the re-ranking, I was #19. Then, after they pulled people off the waitlist, I worked out that I was at least #6 (depending on if people decided to leave the wait list etc). Anyways, my math skills aren't great but pretty hopefully that makes some sense to you Scottyrana. So, like, if you were initially #17, that means you're around #4 now - from my strange (but makes sense to me) math calculations, haha.
  8. Okay, thank you!!
  9. Okay, thanks for the response :) I was originally #19 so if you had 15 pulled then my chances probably aren't too great. However, like you said, you never know. I guess I'll just wait it out and see what's happening closer to the start date. Orientation is around May14th right?
  10. Hi Alliegem, I'm really not sure if you can answer this (and/or know). However, I don't want to email VCU about it because I know that they said they can't let us know where we sit on the waitlist now. I'm at least #6 at this point (with the revised wait list) and I was wondering what you think the chances are that I will get pulled at this last minute/late hour? I'm asking because I have scheduled a trip to England on May 10th. Obviously, I'd rather get pulled off the wait list and go to VCU. However, here in lies the dilemma - VCU says that people can get pulled off the wait list the first week of classes with students dropping out...I know you can't tell me 100% what will/might happen - but with your previous experience in the nursing program - did you find that people were still being pulled off the waitlist the month before and/or dropping out the first week? Again, I know it's all subjective based on the year etc. Just seeing what happened last year...Thanks for any help/advice/insight :)
  11. I'm #12. So, it's probably a longshot for me to get in. But, a girl can dream! If you hear anything, will you let me know warnerjj? Thanks!
  12. Hi just checking in to see if anyone on the waitlist has heard anything else? I know the first round of waitlisters were already chosen and was wondering if anyone has been pulled off the waitlist since then?
  13. Hi Alliegm: I've totally been stalking this thread and haven't commented yet, but have read everything. I'm currently wait listed and I'm ranked at #19 I've been googling about what to do if you're wait listed at nursing schools, and I know you mentioned earlier that you were wait listed (although you had a much lower number, #3, right?) Anyways, as you can probably tell I've been kind of obsessing about this... I was wondering, when you were wait listed did you just wait to hear back patiently or did you email the program once in a while to let them know you were still interested. I'm looking online and some people are saying that you should do "extra things" like send them things to help beef up your application etc. But, I'm assuming that since this is a ranked system they just move up the list, accepting #1, then #2 etc., right? So, sending them an email once in a while and reminding them that you're still interested in the program won't help you and will probably just make you annoying, right? Not "you," obviously. Just a general "you." I've really enjoyed reading everyone's comments. And you've been such a wonderful help!
