About DaniVL

I currently study Medical Humanities at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, where I focus on patient and practitioner narratives. I believe that engaging the moral imagination is one of the most effective ways to build empathy. My interest is in psychiatric consultation liaison nursing (PCLN). I'm passionate about resilience-building, empathy, and the importance of mindfulness, presence, and touch in healing. In my spare time, I enjoy long walks, Pilates, and Kundalini yoga. I'm a voracious reader, as well as an avid participator and consumer of the visual and performing arts. I'm very interested in spirituality and involve myself in interfaith dialogue, particularly revolving around social justice and peace.
