  1. Texas Children's New Grad program

Thanks!! I'll know their decision by next week ? Ohhh for summer try to consistently check in March/April
  2. Texas BON ATT - December grads

Baylor Dallas has a very nice set up. Which tells me they truly want to support their new grads. Should ask your recruiter what happens if you don't pass NCLEX the first time. Seems like alot of pressure Baylor Dallas also adds $850 to your check ...
  3. Debunking the SATA Myth.

Congratulations! I'm sure I'll have an ugly cry full of crocodile tears when I pass. I sure hope I get it the first time
  4. Surely there is hope for me?

Try the Saunder's Test Strategies book. When you review your answers after your exam, do you feel that you change your answers from the correct one to the wrong one? Or do you feel like you were completely clueless?
  5. Hesi rn exit please help!!

900 here too. My friend bombed it the first time and got the Saunders Test Strategies book and made a 99% the second time lol. You can do it!!

    Congrats!
  8. Texas BON ATT - December grads

What hospital are you at? Maybe they'll consider GN permits while you wait on license? (Idk how it works though) that sucks, the hospital I got a job offer from allows 30 days from start date to take and pass nclex
  9. Chamberlain College of Nursing (Houston)

Thanks!! Feel free to PM for any other further clarification

  12. Which is the best hospital to work for in Houston?

ER = Ben Taub/Methodist/Memorial Hermann. Never a dull moment at Ben Taub. lol
  13. MD Anderson RN Program 2015

That's disappointing to not be accepting even as a PSNE. I'm sure it was just your interview. You'll be surprised how confident I felt about how I interview, just to find out that my answers were definitely horrible for NURSING interviews. I've don...
  14. Texas Children's New Grad program

Application for January 2015 is closed. It opened sometime early in November. Also, 3.5 is the preferred gpa. I have an interview tomorrow and my gpa isn't a 3.5. I'm surprised they called me to be honest, then again, I had clinicals there so I am i...
  15. Chamberlain College of Nursing (Houston)

$665/credit hour. Pretty pricey. I maxed out my loans and paid approximately $5-6k out of pocket over time. I liked the program ^_^ Hospitals have been saying they LOVE Chamberlain students because of our ability to critically think.
  16. Declaratory order to Texas BON

That's very strange. I've heard that happening to a few people. It's possible that your background check did clear, but when you sent in your DO they took action. So lame Best thing for all nursing students to do is to do your own FBI level backgro...
  17. Methodist Houston GN Program Spring 2015

Sweet! Which department and location? I just interviewed today. Have another interview with a different department for Methodist (TMC) on Tuesday ^_^
  18. TX BON

i know this is old but were you convicted for the theft by check? or was it dismissed? what was the amount and how long did it take for them to investigate you?
  19. Chamberlain Houston TX?

Thanks!! We all have a right to wonder. They'll prob get more answers if they asked though great thing is I've noticed most new grad interviews are set up through HR. Up to the candidate to sell themselves as soon as they walk through that door.
  20. Chamberlain Houston Campus

I had to comment. This thread has been an interesting read! I bet I know houstonRNhopeful:yes: My story: wanted to be an anesthesiologist. Had a kid at 18. My dream fizzled. Started working 40 hours a week while taking prerequisites. Didn't take my...
  21. Chamberlain Houston TX?

Search other threads for info. I graduate in December. We will be their largest graduating class. Appx 40 of us. And a very good percentage of us have job offers at hospitals in the medcenter. No idea what the above poster is talking about.
  22. Chamberlain College of Nursing (Houston)

Thanks!! They're switching to ebooks. I recommend getting your own used books for these courses since they require a lot of studying: fundamentals health assessment adult health I&II critical care all of the other classes were very manageable t...
  23. Chamberlain College of Nursing (Houston)

    Forgive my typos. I'm mobile
  24. Chamberlain College of Nursing (Houston)

I stronglyyyy recommend taking all of your prereqs at Hcc first or another cheaper college. The only classes I know of that they did not accept was Philosophy, nutrition and statistics. Its expensive. A lot of us are here as a last ditch or for the ...
  25. Chamberlain College of Nursing (Houston)

Good luck to you all. I graduate this December
