    THis is simialr to what happened to me...they just dump on you with no supervision and expect you to know what to do. Quiting is the right thing to do..its not worth losing your license

    LOL..I had no unit manager (who was actually on the unit to help), never enough CNA's and the other nurses were swarmed themself or too selfish to help out "the new guy." On a good night I had 4 CNA's...

    LTC is the future for LVN's..there just isn't much options beside it. I lasted all of 3 months or so in LTC (nursing home) and it was an absolute disaster and the most stressful job I have ever had....

    WCC doesn't weigh the GPA that much. You have an enterence exam to take though. WCC is the easiest /fastest way to get your LVN to RN

    In northern california WCC charges $19,000 for the RN prereqs and $33,000 for the LVN to RN program. That is still out of my price

    Regarding pre-reqs.. most the colleges in northern california have a 7 year limit on the science courses. I havent heard a limit on the other pre-reqs though. I have 5 of the 10 and my pschy is 9...

    Unfortunatly it will not lead to an increase. I will be done with my B.S. degree in June. Keep in mind that if you work for the state as an LVN you can later promote to other non-nursing jobs that pay...

    i work two OT shifts a week and will bring in $85,000 this year as a fairly new LVN. I don't consider this a lot of OT considering I am off for 3 days a week. I don't even get double pay, just time...
