  1. Hi, I was just wondering how the LVN-RN bridge program works in regards to the selection process and how many spots there are for LVN's. Feedback would be much appreciated thank you!

Should I still apply to Sacramento States Nursing program?

There is a total of 112 points that can be obtained. 50 points for a 4.0 gpa and 50 points for a 99 and above on the teas. There is also 12 points that could be given if you've taken language courses, disadvantaged high school, economic background and volunteer service.

Yea I understand what you are saying. Those skills are very essential. Im just frustrated on how much time I prepared studying for the TEAS V and I was unable to produce a competitive score. So I'm taking a chemistry class that would raise my GPA to a 3.8 when I get an A, I believe that will add a 4 more points. Yea after taking the test I looked at my other options. I'm looking into Sac City, ARC, San Mateo, and San Francisco City college. Like you stated I could probably bridge from there. Im going to exhaust all my options until I succeed. Thank you for thoughtful feedback.

Thank you, that it very encouraging to hear, and congratulations. Unfortunately i exceeded the maximum time I could take the test. I'm just not really good at standardized testing. I did well on the Math and science; however, The reading comprehension and writing portion really brought my score down. I truly believe that this test is not a reflection of what I have to offer to nursing programs.

Thank you for the feedback, Yea you're right its a "you'll miss every shot you don't take" type of thing. I just get really caught up in the statistical aspect of this applying process, which brings me a lot uncertainty at times, but yea I will apply!!!
  6. The program I want to apply to is Sacramento State University's nursing program for sprain 2015 which in fact is impacted like most nursing programs. I have a GPA of 3.77 (34 points) and my Teas Score is an 83.3 (17 points). I also did 100 plus hours of volunteer service (3 points) at UCDavis medical center. All in all my total points that I received from the selected criteria was a 54 points. Looking at the selection criteria the cutoff was 69 for Spring 2014. It is very evident that the points decrease my competitiveness to apply. Should I just apply or should I just take the AA or LVN to BSN route? The feedback would be much appreciated thank you!!!
