I know that it is pretty difficult to get a job as a new grad there.... I wanted to work there initially but unless you already work as a tech or something there, they aren't interested. That's what I was told.

I also heard they will pay for half of your child's college tuition if they go to school in the US if you work for a Johns Hopkins hospital

May I ask you what your application stats were like? UMB and VCU are places I'm looking at. Did you apply to Georgetown as well? From what I've been researching, VCU has the better program over Maryland. But that is from word of mouth.
