    What is your watch preference?

Good but it isn't allowed even in CNA classes where I taught.

HELP! regarding criminal background & nclex results

Well...I can tell you that I wad arrested and never charged. Still showed up on my background. It took about 10 days once they got the paperwork. That was in TX though. They likely want a written statement from you and the charge sheet/arrest record along with a fee for reviewing it.

    Tattoos on Nurses- NZ

I have a breast cancer ribbon tat...while 9 times out of 10 it is covered up..when people ask it can be a good teaching tool for patients on screening exams. Its on my forearm. Nobody has ever said anything about it. Then again..I don't make a big deal of it either.. Different places will have different policies.

    Squishy, lightweight clog recommendations?

Landau comfort clogs..in TX I bought a pair for under 40 bucks.

    What is your watch preference?

No digital! Ever. 3 hands always. I have had quite a few..from Timex with the glow to Tinkerbell..to some flashy water resistant ones from sears during their Christmas sales :) School likely wants you to have anything but a digital watch. Check walmart too..they alwyas have the funky colors and clearance for something a bit out of the ordinary.

    Stethoscope? Type...

My Littmann gave me a rash...I quit wearing it around my neck for one. But yes, it looked like leprosy lol The ultrascope I loved, but it did the same thing. You can order covers that go over them, although depending on environment may not be the most hygenic route. There are hip holsters too... Good luck!

I have been in contact...everybody is so fabulously awesome! I will update as I hear more. Whats odd is that my remaining Post 9/11 time is spot on to finish! Praise Jesus, right?

    St. Clair County Community College

I am in Michigan..and from the area..I am going to University of Michigan Flint though...thought about SC4, but there's a program at UofM for veterans specifically. What I do know is: Baker College credits don't readily transfer so..stick with SC4. Glad to know I am not the only one here. Just moved back home...so happy!

Army Nursing: All Good Things Must Come To An End

Thank you! I was 17-18 and still "mined" being told how my life was going (ie: what to eat and when, where to deploy to..where to live and how my bed should be made).

Army Nursing: All Good Things Must Come To An End

You will miss parts of it..but the good being out ultimately outweighs the good being in. Congrads and thank you! :)

Sure to Get Flamed for This

My honest thought: y'all need to stop this darn thread. Its disrespectful to the entire nursing profession. If we treat others the same way we want to be treated, there will be no problems. Hell, thats not even a 'nurse' thing but a human thing. Think about how hard nursing school was. From VN/PN to ADN/BSN even our MSNs on here..nobody went into it to go to work to 'offend' or 'bully' patients or staff. Nobody. Turning this into a ADN vs BSN or male vs female whatever is absolutely a nursing low point. It highlights the problem with nursing as a whole; the human element, also known as "ego". Check them at the door. Ain't nobody got time for that Stay blessed y'all :-)
