  1. I know this was written a while ago but thank you. I am trying to get it managed. Even getting through this last part of the general education courses is grueling. I have to rethink everything.
  2. I was actually coming here for different advice but read my old thread and you just confirmed my worst fears. I will have a talk with my therapist but I'm... no words. I didn't go to the ER that day by the way. I just stuck it out myself. I did call the suicide hotline but didn't call them back for the people they wanted to send to me. I don't think I would have hurt myself or anything. I think I felt like I was drowning and I didn't know what else to do. OVER A BOY. ?
  3. So sorry I posted this in the wrong forum. I cant think straight right now. I dont know where to put this thread, I have a question though. If I went to the emergency room for depression help and anxiety is that possible to get help there? Will that hurt my chances to get into nursing school? Thank you for any replies.
  4. Anyone from Ivy Tech? I got a B in Psych 101 a long time ago at a different school, but I am wanting to retake it to get an A. I mean that's like 5 extra points to help me get into the nursing program. So far I have a B in English Comp (bleh), A in A&P 1, A in Quantitative Reasoning, B in Psych 101, and I am going to get my CNA in the spring for the additional 5 extra points. I am going to take my TEAs over the summer, but I am NOT a good test taker so I don't expect that to help me out much. Should I retake Psych 101 since I am confident I will get an A?
  5. I got my 4 vaccinations today (or at least the starting doses). I was reading the information sheet about each one and on the chicken pox it says that I shouldn't get any other vaccinations with it. Does anyone think this would be a problem as far as my school is concerned? My doctor didn't mention this...
  6. I am getting a job as a CNA again. I feel like they are going to make me work more than 16 hours. I want to make them understand even though I'm taking online classes for my prereqs I want most of my time to be studying ?
  7. I'm not a nurse but I have worked in a few facilities as a CNA. Even when I had 30+ residents (with just another CNA and an RN) I was always walking down the halls checking on everyone. It wasn't hard to be aware of what was happening with my residents. Something isn't adding up.
  8. Thank you SO much for this information. The county next to me has a program for the uninsured. I never thought to check out different counties because I know for sliding scale doctors some of them say you have to be in the county they reside in. So I assumed it was the same for stuff like this. I had no idea. I have a doctor's appointment on the 19th and they couldn't tell me exactly how much mine would cost. If it doesn't pan out with them I'll def check out the county that has a program for the uninsured and other counties just in case!
  9. I sense a little bit of snippiness from your post (please correct me if I'm wrong). I'm not sure what I did to warrant that, but I apologize if I offended you at all. I ask about the different state thing because I have no idea how it works, obviously. Thank you for your posts and I hope you have a good night.
  10. I thought doctors offices only keep records for a certain time period? Do you think they would send them to me since I live in a different state now? I mean it's worth a shot if I can remember what her name is, I guess.
  11. I'm uninsured and don't have a job. Lol I was planning on waiting and getting a job as a CNA, but I might have to get a part time one just to pay for all this. I would hate to get one just to leave it though. That's if I can. I have been out of work for a while.
  12. I might start doing that! Lock that up. lol I'm wondering though is the tdap vaccine just one shot? Like I know it's for different things but when you get it do they just stick you one time? Does anyone know? Edit: I'm researching this I'm just so confused. I might just stop for tonight. haha
  13. I actually found a site though searching on here Immunity Panel - Hepatitis B, MMR & Varicella Titer Panel – LabReqs.com $139 for Hep B, MMR, and Varicella titers I'll call my health department, and both of my sliding fee clinics near me just in case the vaccines are cheaper. I do need to get my Tdap vaccine, and worse comes to worse I'll go to Walgreens and get it for like $64. I guess I can live with those prices. This is just such a pain! It's my fault for not keeping better care of my paperwork though. Ugh.
  14. I went on the hunt looking for my immunization records today, and I can't find them. I was just wondering if anyone could give me advice as to what to do. Lol I guess I need a titers test? I am getting my CNA again (since it's been so long) so I can start working while I am doing my prereqs. They require my immunization records, and I guess this is a good thing that I have to deal with this now, since I would before I apply for the LPN program anyways. Do health departments usually do the tests and immunizations on adults as well? Would it generally be cheaper just to get each vaccine done again or do the titers test? I found somewhere that I could do a full panel titers test for $189 but it looks like it's on sale or something, so that might change when I actually have the money to do it. Just looking for advice from those who know about this stuff. Thank you!!
  15. Ohhh thank you so much for sharing! I won't worry about it anymore then!
