  1. Hello, I used Quizlet and practiced tons of questions. Good luck to you. I studied at-least 30 minutes a day on my days off for about three months. I went in feeling prepared and passed. The 7th edition should be fine. I also got the flash cards from ARN. best of luck to you!

Hello Everyone, I am very excited to be starting my dream job as a school nurse very soon. I am looking forward to learning from you, laughing with you and sharing with you.
  5. Congrats on your CRRN certification! I am a new rehabilitation RN. I plan on getting CRRN certified when the time comes. Thanks for sharing the link about SCRN - happy new year
  6. Everyone deals with a situation like yours differently. Follow your heart. During nursing school - I had 2 tradgic deaths of close family members and 1 close family member involved in a serious accident. They all happened with in an 8 month period. It was a crazy time. Very emotional. I made the decision to remain in school and managed to balance it all. Looking back - I don't know how I did it, but I did. Graduated, passed NCLEX and starting my first RN job. I know that they are smiling down from above on me :) Hang in there!
  7. Well done! That is great - Good luck in your new position!!!
  8. What a heartfelt post, I said a prayer for you. Go in and get it girl :) I hope to see your future posts as a RN :) wishing you all the best!!!!
  9. Congrats on your new job! Can't offer any advice - as I am a new grad like you starting my first RN job soon. Good luck to you.
  10. Yippee!!!!!! Congrats :)
  11. Keep us posted! Also, don't rush to blurt out your answer, it's ok to take a moment and think it through. It it is great that you got the second interview!!! Go in and nail it!
  12. Good luck on your second interview!!! I would remember your ABCs when answering, prioritizing, never leaving an unstable patient alone, and so on. Look up behavioral questions and prepare by thinking of some of your clinical experiences and how you handled this or that. If you search on AN there are some good articles and threads on common interview questions and how to answer them. Lastly, be confident and make good eye contact.
  13. First and Last name on mine :)
  14. I suspect one she she you making it past the 3 week mark (ha ha) her comments will subside :)
  15. I participated in study groups all through nursing school and great group of people - I can't even imagine thinking about cheating! You work so hard to get into school. Like others have mentioned you are in NURSING school - umm can you say ethics ? When ever we took tests the proctors walked around like hawks (as they should - I guess looking for people, like the girl in your story). Join a study group, and take this girls advice with a grain of salt. Good luck in nursing school.
  16. I vote option 2, the suit. I had my first interview not too long ago and went with a suit (and got the job!) Good luck to you!!!
  17. I didn't start mt first job yet, although I am excited to like you were ... Just wanted to share this article - and have ready lots of posts regarding this subject so search around AN some more Read this --> https://allnurses.com/first-year-after/full-circle-my-271914.html I think its pretty common from what I have been reading around here. I just accepted my first RN job and I know and accept that the first year is going to be tough and a learning process. How long have you been there? Hang in there - from what I read ... it does get better. Wishing you lots of luck.
  18. Congrats! RN - your determination paid off :)
  19. I think you should change your user name to protect your identity. RunbabyRN had some great points. Here are a few other points. I have a section on my resume near the bottom - that says Professional Affiliations - that is where I would list NSNA Your BLS for healthcare providers should be listed under - Certifications My family day care AKA Dawn's daycare - why the name change? I think you should list ONE name. Clinical Experience - I'd include the facilities Good luck!
