  10. This just made my day!
  11. My mother had kidney failure. I spent a lot of times in the hospital with her before she passed away. The way her nurses at Davita treated her was awesome. Those ladies were really family. They were my first inspiration. Then I became pregnant with my youngest child. A young OB nurse just blew me away. It was set in stone then what I wanted to do. 8 years later, here I am at it once again.
  12. I applied for and was accepted into the Spring LPN program... For those who are already in the program, please share your study habits. What do you do to retain information? How long do you study? Flashcards...I want to know all please and thanks. I do know what may work for you may not work for me. I just need ideas. Thanks in advance.
  13. This is a very informative post! I appreciate it so much! Thank you!
  14. My LPN course comes with the req's... I opted to take the A&P's one semester at a time so that I would not be struggling with that as well as the actual nursing courses...
  15. Hey all... I am 32 and this is my second time around at it.... I have A&P 1&2 to take and I will be entering into the LPN program May of 2015...I am soooo excited and scared all at the same time. I cant see myself doing anything else other than a nurse. I have made up my mind that I will live like I am in the wilderness(somewhat) no phone or t.v. I am easily distracted and I have to do what I have to do in order to make it this time for me and my 2 loves. I wish you all the best and LET'S DO THIS! NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!
  16. So every experience is different. That is why I am taking them one at time without any other classes. The school I am going to also offers them in the LPN course, I cant do that. Made that mistake once. Hats off to all of you who are doing it! :)

  20. I appreciate this...Congratulations and good luck with your future...
  21. I told my family I was going to school for accounting. Not going to tell them until I am about to graduate. I totally understand. This is my second time around and I am grateful for the second chance. I am ready to work my behind off this time. Working a part time job, single and two kids... I must look at the bigger picture or else I will quit. Good luck to you and I wish you all the best.
  22. How far in advance did anyone began studying for the NCLEX??? After acceptance(before classes started for you) during school or after you graduated?
