LOL! It is quite true. We females seem to be catty to each other. We females already know that we are. Is it that obvious in this forum topic? Yeah, I have volunteered at a hospital. I am trying to get nursing home care experience. I can't do CNA classes because that would be too much with me taking a 3 hour Mon-Thurs A&P 2 class in the summer already. You are lucky you are a male nurse as it is automatically a win situation for you because male nurses are usually accepted right off the bat after nursing school. Indeed I do need thicker skin.. for some reason I was overly sensitive about this entire thing.. ah being a female sucks. Ah well. (I personally am sorry for what I said and hope i do not get attacked in the future. I'm feeling a lot better from yesterday, had a bad day)

It's sad I'm being cyber bullied by many people on this forum.. Anyway, I thought our argument was over but some people still want to continue this on. The fact is, I already apologized and so did she in her own way. But before you say I should get through the nursing program first, that is dead wrong. You can tell who is going to be a good nurse before they get into the program. You can have straight A's but if your attitude is heartless towards other people, you are not a good fit. They got through it, but some people are only in it for the money. (She reminded me of a person that had a snobby attitude because she got into the program and literally said, can't wait to make a lot of money) Which is disgusting and for some reason she reminded me of that person. But I am most likely wrong, however, I don't know her in real life. Anyway, I would like to move on and if anyone wants to keep harassing me over the issue, you are just as immature as both of us when me and her were arguing. And Thank You. The only reason I made the topic was because I was frustrated on getting a high B. I had straight A's in the class up until the last lab exam and the final which made me get a B in the end. My goal from the beginning was to get an A. So that's why I wondered if it was good. I did work extra hard this semester to get there but I just don't feel like it was good enough. I probably should have clarified this when I started it. Is there a way to delete this topic so further people don't comment? I'm actually kind of sick of this. I actually cried about it in real life if anyone cares to think I am an insensitive person which is far from the truth.

How to prepare for an A&P summer class?
I was wondering how to prepare for a summer class, considering they are a lot more condensed and I have a lot more free time to study (only class I will be taking in the summer) but the course I am taking won't be easy. How is A&P2 in a summer week course? (8 weeks) What should I expect to learn? I got a B in A&P 1. Thank you all.

I am so frustrated with Anatomy & Physiology :(
Try your best! If you can't pass, just retake it hun. There are LOADS of people who retake the class and do a lot better next time around. Sometimes you do have to take it twice, to realize your failures in these things. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I was just told by a nurse yesterday on here that I basically was a failure for doing it twice. You are NOT a failure. Don't even let it bother you. Ask the professor questions and perhaps if you didn't take the final, study extra hard. You're actually not that far off from passing. I came out of my A&P 1 class with only a few students left because most of them had withdrew and we started with a full class. It IS hard and anyone who says it is easy is ridiculous! If you do have to retake it (not saying you will), don't beat yourself up. Chances are the person next to you is in the same boat. I was last semester but I picked myself up. I even thought if I didn't get an A I was a failure. I got an 88% and I still felt like crap but then realized, you know what? I was so close to an A and I really did well.

How far do you commute for classes?
30-35 minute range. But then again, I take back roads.

Was nursing your first choice entering college?
I forgot to tell my story! Nursing was my first choice. I knew I wanted to be one even in high school. Senior year i was taking health classes to prepare. Unfortunately, I goofed off the first year of college (who doesn't, really?) and didn't take college as seriously. And that attitude carried on from high school. My second semester, I changed my major to Biochemistry. Bad idea. I wasn't good at math at all and that required a lot of math. I went back into Nursing, thinking I was a fool to have switched in the first place. And I've never been happier. I finally got my attitude in check and I'm doing a lot better. I couldn't have chosen a better career for myself. I'm ready to take on the challenge!

88% in A&P 1
I had to take A&P 1 the second time around because I wasn't serious my first year of college. That is typical in a person just out of high school. Most people are lost and confused and not sure how to take on the real world. Before you judge me, please remind yourself that I am a real person with feelings. I know I am not a straight A student. You don't know my life at all. And with that I am done with my discussion. I will be professional and say I am sorry for my remarks. But please be a little nicer to pre nursing students, it is a hard course.

No, she made a smart comment at me after she gave me her opinion. There's a difference between an opinion which I accepted and difference between being a complete jerk. She decided to be the jerk. I do have the right to say what I said because you don't treat people like that. She obviously doesn't know how to be nice on the forums. If anyone seeks advice, you try to help them not the other way around. She is the one not being professional at all. I'm sure you wouldn't take it lightly either Viva. That's no way to tell someone who has a passion for Nursing that I did extremely terrible the second time around.

TiffyRN, you are the worst nurse if you have an attitude like that. I feel bad for your patients and your coworkers. You really shouldn't be a nurse with a know-it-all attitude. I have done nothing to deserve this. Your personality is just negative which means no matter how much experience you have, you are not fit to be in the nursing field. If you fail, you try again. You obviously have never dealt with that before. Please excuse yourself from the forums because you have no right to talk to me that way even behind a computer screen.

You know what? You are right. I'm not gonna listen to any negative nancy's out there. I did great. Thanks.

Encouragement?
Do what makes YOU happy. There are tons of people out there who are not happy with their job.

So close to an A.. I would've had straight A's this semester. Really mad that I only got 2 points away from an A but that's ok. Is that still good?

Why or why not?

Prerequisite Questions ?
I feel like both Human Growth & Development and Intro to Psychology are different classes in my opinion. But I would recommend doing Intro to Psychology first and then Human Growth. Same with Anatomy. I would do A&P1 first because it gives you the foundation for A&P2.
