I got accepted to a rather expensive nursing school, but a very good one! I am trying to think through whether I should go ahead and attend and pay the big bucks or roll the dice hoping to get accepted to another less expensive school next winter or fall? Of course there is no guarantee that I would get accepted to another school since it is rather competitive to get in these days. I am 50 and in great shape, work out everyday, eat right, etc. No family, not married, no kids... Just wondering what others think about this questions....

I didn't have an interview, and my status changed from 'ready for review' to 'decision made' on wednesday. I was curious if all 'waited listed' status folks had an interview? Is there another status for some folks called 'alternate' ? and did you have an interview?

For those that got wait listed, is that what your status says on the GRU admissions status page? and did you have an interview?

I had all of my documents in before the deadline and have the necessary GPA and GRE scores. My proof of GA residency was sent in on jan. 3., but didn't show up in my received documents until I asked about it a couple of times. It was finally shown as received first week of march, so I am wondering if that hurt my application. I didn't get an interview and my status changed from 'ready to review' to 'decision made' yesterday. I did get accepted to Emory however, which I was most surprised, because I was thinking I would get into GRU and not Emory. Now I need to figure out how I can even begin to pay for Emory. I may need to apply to some other schools and try again next year. Any thoughts you guys have on my situation? Best of luck to everyone that got accepted to this program!!!

Hopefully we will hear some positive news this week! I had all of my documents in by the deadline but have not heard anything. My status has been 'Ready for Review' since mid february.

My status hasn't changed yet, today it still says 'ready for review' . I haven't received a letter, and I haven't received a request for interview either. I think this means I was not accepted since this is the final week they were notifying folks for interviews. (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) said that all admitted students would have an interview.

Does not having an interview mean that one is not accepted? wondering, I haven't heard back about an interview yet.

Does anyone know if you have to have an interview to be admitted to the program? I sent a message to GRU asking when I could anticipate hearing back from them and that my status had been 'ready for review' for over a month. She responded back that the Admissions Committee is making the final selections for interviews this week. If selected for interview, you will receive an email invitation. If not, you will receive a letter in the mail. I guess if I don't get an interview then I am not admitted?

@ksierra Ok, thank you for the info. My status still says 'incomplete' even though all my materials are in. Hopefully they are reviewing it. Hope to hear something soon!

@ksierra When did you have all of you documents in? i have all mine in, they posted that they had received my GRE scores yesterday. I'm wondering how long between having all docs in and then getting notified for an interview?

I am considering a career change too. I am late forty's and have been behind a computer screen most of my career. I need something that is more relational and has real relational component to it. I am wondering what you (mcgocara31) and others in similar situation decided? Did you make the decision to change careers?

Does anyone know how long it took for your GRE scores to be reflected in your supporting documents in the GRU application status page? My GRE scores were sent electronically to GRU in this past tuesday, but are showing up in the GRU system. Just wondering how long it took for others?

I got my GRE scores this past tuesday and I got a notification that the scores were sent to GRU electronically on tuesday. My GRE scores are still showing as outstanding in my GRU application documents as of today, Sunday.

Does the admission committee interview everyone? just wondering if it is not good news if I'm not asked to interview.
