  5. Curiosity..

I never said any of you were immoral, bad people, or had anything other than a disease - I said my personal morals and how I feel about my license and career may be different than others. I know being an addict is not a choice, by all means, so befor...
  6. FNP Specialties

Hi all! I'm curious to see for all my FNP's or ACNP's or AGNP's - what is your speciality if you specialize? And where did you obtain your post-MSN certifications for those specialities? If you don't specialize, what type of setting are you working i...
  7. Curiosity..

While I appreciate everyone's input on saying I have a substance abuse problem, that is definitely not the case. I have been on pain medication since I was 11 years old for a congenital bone issue and rheumatoid arthritis. I have a high tolerance, wh...

  12. ICU advice needed please!

Thanks everyone. Yes, my Progressive ICU has a 2:1 or occasionally 3:1 patient:nurse ratio. It's very high acuity; ventilator dependent patients, sepsis, traumatic brain injury, trauma surgeries, some oncology, some psych, unstable cardiac patients. ...
  13. Where have you applied? Gotten your acceptance/rejection letter yet?

I'm getting real anxious. Nothing from UNCC, was supposed to hear yesterday but apparently that's when they were meeting to make final decisions.
  14. Where have you applied? Gotten your acceptance/rejection letter yet?

Rob - did you get an email today from the assistant to the graduate admissions director at UNCC?
  15. How much debt would you go into for NP school?

That's the only thing that is really stressing me out regarding grad school.' I graduated with my BSN at 20 and I was paid $4500 a semester to go to school because I had amazing scholarships. Now, to think I could be in debt for $50k or $60k makes me...

  25. Time frame for relocation

UNC has amazing benefits across the board and pay is better than any other system in NC that I've been able to research or interview with. Duke has comparable benefits, but UNC is definitely the best. Also, know that both systems have very slow HR de...
