I am currently 23 years old, single, and live with my dad...who is great and very supportive, as is my mother. I am almostttt finished with my ADN degree and can not wait to get into the field! I currently work in the XRAY department at a local hospital here mainly just being the 'gopher' and I love it. Ever since I was little, I loved the hospital environment. As a child I loved the cleanliness..the way everyone would smile at you when you walked by..the fact that people were coming in there sick and coming out better (in my child mind). I always knew I wanted to be a part of it. I was an honors student in highschool graduating 3rd in my class. I have always been the 'smart kid' and would definitely love to pursue my nursing education as far as I can. My main interest is in the emergency department. I am a very calm, caring person but able to work quickly and efficiently so I think this would be a perfect fit for me! My ultimate goal would probably be to be an NP in the E.R. but we will have to see. As far as me, I love animals, nature, biology, friends, people, family, reading (ALOT), interior design, arts/crafts, baking, hair/makeup/beauty/fashion, movies, laughing(such a stress reliever), and doing new interesting things. I was raised a Christian my whole life and have always been so involved in the church until my college years (I kind of drifted). Even though I'm not a full-blown "Bible-thumping" Christian I would LOVE to have the experience to go somewhere out of the country to an undeveloped country and help people in need. I am a very compassionate person. The best feeling in the world for me is knowing that I did just a little something to make someone's day better or help someone. Missionary has been my dream for a while, but I don't know much about it as far as nursing. I feel this may also help me find out where I stand in regards to Christianity and religion. My age is the age for soul-searching and I'm starting to get restless (I've lived in the same town my whole life) As for now, I'm just trying to get through nursing school :) Thanks for reading!
