    I work per diem on a "rehab" unit for joint replacements (LOL) which really is med-surg and sometimes LTC; they basically accept anyone and I have more people with acute medical problems then anyone...
  2. wow why 6 weeks?? What state are you in? I'm in NY, an "at will" state where you can be fired for anytime, any reason but you can also quit anytime, any reason (ie without notice). I worked somewhere...

    What? Sorry but if people need meds administered, especially insulin - a high alert drug(!), Potassium (!!), wound care, etc that IS skilled nursing! Sounds like they are getting away with paying CNAs...

    i'm an RN, but at the hospital where I still work per diem (i work Ft as a school nurse now), FT and PT LPNs are started at $15/hour day shift then $1-1.5 more for shift differentials. I think $18/hr...
