I'm curious what types of patients/drips you all do? I work telemetry on a unit 4x the size... we are taking 7 pt most shifts and here lately the charge nurse is having to take a near full load too. We have 2-4 PCAs depending on the shift.

What kind of things are you doing that an LPN should be doing? That would concern me more than the OT thing. Are they pushing you to go outside the scope of your certification?

I think that is maybe just Methodist. St. Francis is work a minimum 8 hrs per pay period to stay on payroll. Work as much as you want, just no OT (HR may tell you different, but managers will tell you that) Baptist is the same I think too.
