That is true. I didn't think about it that way, as far as the NCLEX was concerned. They have to cover all of the bases, I know in Virginia, LPN's have a wide scope of practice.

LPN's can be hired on the Mother/Baby unit, but not L&D. It is uncommon and a hard spot to get.

It is different for every school, they decide.

They were probably telling the truth about 80 applicants, maybe of the 80 only 20 were what they wanted. I am always surprised with how many people apply and dont have all of the necessary pre-requisites, or have low grades in the math and sciences.....

I was just looking on the Virginia Board of Nursing website, it appears that MCI/ECPI is not approved or accredited for their Bachelors program.

Have you looked at Norfolk State? Sentara? Hampton University? ODU? MCI would be one of my last choices, them and South University.

All of our Med/Surg has been in hospitals, and we start OB this week in the hospital.

They threw the nurse under the bus to make the masses feel better. She (the nurse) screwed up with PPE and that is why she got it. I am not in danger.

It makes me mad the news is saying that the nurse was careless and that is why she got it. My guess is there is more to this disease than what is common knowledge. Maybe a different strain?
