  1. I don't know what your financial situation is, but I was able to have my application fees waved when I applied to Fresno and Stanislaus. Have you looked into that?
  2. My school library offers the PDF version for free. Maybe yours does, too?
  3. Some people have said this has been helpful. Also, you could probably try the made incredibly easy series... http://www.amazon.com/Mosbys-Pharmacology-Memory-NoteCards-Mnemonic/dp/0323078001/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1377725523&sr=8-1&keywords=mosbys+pharmacology+memory+notecards
  4. There is an ELM program currently in progress. But, according to Fresno's website, they're no longer accepting applications right now due to a shortage of nursing faculty.
  5. Maybe you should think about waiting a semester. That way you can focus on the healing part first.
  6. I don't have private loans, but I do get federal loans. In addition to grants and scholarships, I receive about $9000/year in subsidized/unsubsidized loans. They get paid out once a semester. I'm in a BSN program, btw. When I did my prereqs at the local community college, loans weren't offered.
  7. I didn't have any trouble getting into my BSN program. I finished my prereqs at a community college Spring 2012, and then started my program at a CSU the following semester. So I think it just depends on the university.
  8. I did my prereqs and general ed at a CC, then transferred to Fresno State, where I got in to their BSN program right away. There was no waiting around for me.
  9. I'm in a BSN program (about to start 3rd semester), and so far, late work has not been accepted. Neither is the option to just 'not' turn something in.
  10. Get a laptop. You can't write care plans on an ipad. At least, I haven't been able to.
  11. Definitely Get a dry erase board! It makes practicing med math a lot funner!
  12. Instead of selling it back to Amazon, sell it on Amazon Marketplace. That's what I did with some of my textbooks after this last semester.
  13. Have you looked into getting it expunged? You will still have to disclose it to the BON but it may help you.
  14. I'm at fresno state and right now, students are only accepted in the fall to the university. I got into my program Fall 2012 and the cutoff was 3.8 gpa. The Spring cutoff was 3.5 or 3.6. It was a lot lower because only fresno state students were able to apply. If your school is like mine, it would definitely benefit you to transfer.
  15. I used Fundamentals Success and a free app by Lippincott called Taylor's Fundamentals.
